A wish for the weather

The wind seems to have more confidence than me
As it caresses your skin and plays with your hair
But you reject it as I fear you will do with me
When you put on your jacket and sort out your hair.

I wonder what it would be like to be a leaf
The absurd wind could make me dance at your feet
You would pick me up and put me in the warmest pocket of your jacket
The one that once shielded your heart against the harsh wind

And when the rain comes to mess up our moment
I will stand beside you until you are the one who leaves
I will protect your lips with mine
As the rain will fall upon us from the heavens

Rain shall now turn to snow
Snow shall freeze time
Tormenting us with its sick games
Which have distorted what was once beautiful and divine
My hands are incapable of keeping yours warm
Keep holding on to the frozen waterfall that our lives have become

Sun will shine bright and melt the ice
After the cold frost that once covered our world has vanished
Our eyes meet without goodbye
We realized that what we once wished for is ours
I have spent too long being scared of the consequences
Now my wish is to once again taste your lips for as long as I breathe.

In the morning when I wake up from my dream
Whisper to me softly
We will relive this for real.
